Under age Kunama youth being forced to join Eritrean Military

Here is a follow up updates about the Eritrean regime’s Ethnic cleansing campaign against Eritrean Kunama people. As we have shared with you in our first Press Release on 20/01/2016, the Eritrean regime has accelerated its crime against Eritrean Kunama people by forcefully conscripting under age Kunama youth in violation of all international law against forcing underage youth to be forced to military service.

Here, we present the name of 51 Kunama underage youth (only 5 are barely 18 years old) that were forcefully conscripted by the Eritrean regime. We believe this is an extension of the systematic ethnic cleansing policy of the regime. 

We appeal to all human right organization, child soldier deterring institutions, Eritreans and international as well, to press and exert utmost pressure up on the Eritrean regime to release all the conscripted Eritrean Kunama youths and return them safely to their families immediately.

We will search and gather more information and data to shed a light on the multi-faceted continuous crime against our Kunama people.
